Limitation of action in recovery of customary land in Lagos State, Nigeria.
There are a lot of problems associated with land or property acquisition in Lagos State. Land owners and prospective land owners sometimes purchase lands which are subject matter of litigation even without having knowledge of it. It becomes more expedient that concrete steps be taken to conduct necessary search at the land registry and with appropriate government agencies for the determination of the status of the land before purchase. But in the event that such an error have already occurred that an individual bought a land that is a subject matter of litigation, this article is to analyze the limitation period to recover land or make any claim arising from a customary land in Lagos State.
